Suffolk East Anglia - Established to the north-east of London, the rural county of Suffolk is in the area of Great Britain generally known as East Anglia. The county has a land area of 1,466 square miles and a population of about seven hundred and thirty thousand. The county of Suffolk is bordered by the neighbouring counties of Cambridgeshire, Essex and Norfolk, the major town is Ipswich, and other vital towns are Lowestoft, Stowmarket, Newmarket, Felixstowe and Bury Saint Edmunds. The county is largely low-lying and flat, you'll find wetland areas in the northern part of the county that are within The Broads National Park. From 1889-1974 the county was separated into two administrative counties, West Suffolk and East Suffolk.
