Costa Blanca - A coastal region in the south-eastern section of Spain, entirely in the province of Alicante in the Valencia region, the Costa Blanca extends for around 150 miles and it has about seventy four sandy beaches. The region attracts a large number of visitors each year and features several well known coastal resorts for example Benidorm, Javea and Denia. You will find two cities in the Costa Blanca region, Elche (Elx) and Alicante. The name means "White Coast", a term first coined in the late 1950's.
